Why don't Muslems seem to give to broadly respecteds US charities??

My few Muslim friends give to the mosque and send to relatives in the states and other countries as so many are in Turkey and Pakistan and have been ran out of Syria and Iran they do say when they go home to Syria too many Iraqi's and they have made it dangerous even for them to return home to see family, have dental work etc.
