Is this illegal?

well i made up some flyers for cashcrate and was wondering where i could put them..i was wondering like if i go to grocery store or fast food place, etc, could i put them under somebodys windshield wiper so theyll see it..is this a good thing to do and what other ways can i put the flyers..with no money involved
