I have an idea for a slogan for a beauty store, but I'm not sure how to p it on to the company without?

losing my credit for it. I know i could try trademarking it, but I don't want to create a fuss over an idea i'm not sure is going to work. I'd rather share it with them, find out if it's good and then trademark if it is, if u know what I mean.
